This balloon is from an event we went to back in February! It is still floating a little!

Tye Dye Alert!
German summer camp this week was all about Indians! There was a big t-pee set up in the school yard for lessons on Indians and a fun place to eat lunch. Tye-dye shirts with beads sewn on them were one of the projects for this week. Later in the week will be felt moccasins.
A good time!

German Summer Camp
Zach and Sam were signed up for a week of German summer camp at Rilke Schule before we head out to Illinois next week. Frau Cooper always does a great job with the camp and the kids have so much fun.
She also wore them out. Tonight Sam didn't even make it all the way to his bed before he was fast asleep! He still naps at pre-school; I can see what we are in for this fall when he starts kindergarten!

Bear Aware!
It was a beautiful night out so we headed over to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Campbell Creek Science Center for a presentation on bear awareness and a chance to try out bear spray.
Worst Pizza Ever!
When the son of the boss asks if you want to order a Boy Scout pizza, the answer is "yes". I wasn't in town when they were to be delivered, so it was frozen for me and in the freezer at work waiting. I took it home and it looked good. But, the dough was STUCK to the cardboard! Sticky dough! It didn't come off....ever. We cooked it and ate some of the toppings.
$16 for the worst pizza ever!

Cascade Bay
Doug suggested we head to Cascade Bay, the largest waterfall in Prince William Sound, for the 3 day Memorial Day weekend. Saturday and Monday were beautiful......but on Sunday, our one full day to play, it rained! We still had a great time. Derek, Kelly, Michael and 2 cousins stopped by to say hello for a few minutes while they worked on the black bear they took.
