Jabali

Chaperoned an event with Zach's school today.  Jabali was the name of the performance.  It was ok, but not real great. Still fun to hang out with Zach though.

Bus ride was crazy.  It has been a many many years since I have ridden on a bus.  Lots of energy on that ride!

Baby its cold out!!

After months of unseasonably warm weather it is finally cold.  It was 1 degree on the way in to work this morning.  Uhg!!

While we didn't get much snow, the temps were cold and we got a lot of ice and hoar frost.  Makes for a beautiful landscape.  This is what it looks like driving in to work during the darkest time of the year.

Mom & Dad sent a text that they were at Animal Kingdom this morning . . . it looked warm.  Definitely not so here!!

February 2015 summary round-up

February summary in pictures from 2015.  I felt bad that I had huge holes in this blog.  Where there are entries already for the month, I am leaving those in.  This summary just fills in the gaps where there was no information.  Just trying to have a continuous timeline.  Fun to look back on someday.

Berlin Wall celebration at Rilke Schule.  Zach was a guard for the presentation.  The news came out and everything.

Sammy got a new coat from Sport Authority.

Alaska Forum party at my house.

Ball-n-Chain at James's cabin in Nancy Lake.

James's cabin is really coming along.  Nice of him to invite the guys to Nancy Lake.

View from the cabin.  The weather was just ok, so we sat inside and watched a lot of movies.

Front of his cabin from a quadcopter point of view.

Fun to get the quadcopter out for a flight. James had never seen his cabin from that perspective.

The boys and I took our "toys" out for a tour.  I brought my 4-wheeler because there really isn't that much snow to ride on.

Holy cow the roads were icy out in the Willow area.  I almost crashed the truck into a ditch going only 15 mph pulling Todd's trailer.  Sketchy driving conditions.

February warm up.  Warm enough that the kids were able to wash the truck.

Hardly any snow anymore.  Not that we had any to begin with really.

Stephen's Birthday.  Solid Waste program tradition that you "get" to wear the Birthday tiara for the day.

Fur Rondy parade.  Mike Richardson and Nick Bradney helped with the set-up.

Renee and Zach made EXCELLENT panthers!!

German colors on the side rails were a new addition to this years float.

Not a ton of people, but still a good turn out.

Making our way downtown.

View from the top of the Sheraton for the AT&T Fur Rondy Fireworks Extravaganza.

Nice mustaches!

Zach's is looking sweet as well!

Plenty of activities for both kids and adults.

Gotta LOVE a photo booth.

And an open bar.  The Pola Bear drink is kind of the Alaskan "signature" drink.  Not sure what is all in it.  I know it has ice cream and some sort of liquor.  If you look closely at the coaster, it has the ingredients.

Scout Sunday at St. John UMC.

Everyone looks so nice all dressed up!

That is it for February.  Stay tuned for March 2015 summary round-up!!
